Quebec Skilled Worker Program

Last updated 1 year ago

Overview

Quebec, as a large province in Canada, operates its own provincial nominee system known as the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). This program aims to attract skilled and experienced professionals from around the world to begin a new life in one of Canada's most promising regions.

Eligibility for Quebec Immigration is determined by evaluating candidates based on a selection grid of nine factors, including age, education, work experience, and fluency in English and French. Candidates with the highest points are selected for the Quebec Skilled Workers program through a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), which can later be converted into permanent residence by applying to the Government of Canada.

Who Can Apply

  • Skilled workers who possess the experience and expertise required in the Quebec labor market.

How Long it Takes

Processing of CSQ takes approximately 24 to 36 months, and the Permanent Residency application takes 8 to 12 months.

How It Works

If you're interested in Canada Skilled Immigration, the Quebec Skilled Workers Program offers an ideal pathway to enter this beautiful region. To begin the process, candidates must submit an Expression of Interest highlighting essential personal and professional details.

If you score sufficient points and your profile aligns with labor market requirements, French fluency standards, and demonstrates high employability potential, you'll receive an invitation to apply. Within 90 days, you must submit your Quebec Immigration application with relevant documents and additional information.

The Ministère assesses your documents and application against the Quebec Skilled Workers selection grid. During this process, you may be called in for an interview. Upon approval, you'll receive a selection certificate.

For Canada Skilled Immigration, you must submit an application for permanent residence after receiving the selection certificate. General procedures such as background and medical checks will be conducted before you can embark on your new life in Quebec and plan for your departure.
